We dream of a world where women and girls have the resources and opportunities they need to reach their full potential, live free from violence, and of course, live their dreams.
By empowering women and girls through access to education and skills training, the lives of individuals, families, and whole communities can be improved. Women are economically empowered when they have control over their own finances and wellbeing, and when they have a voice in the financial decisions to shape their lives and the lives of their families. Women are socially empowered when they have a personal sense of autonomy, self-confidence, and the power to control their private and public lives.
Soroptimist International of Norwalk/Santa Fe Springs is accepting applications for our three educational award programs for women seeking financial assistance for educational or training expenses.
1. Soroptimist Live Your Dream: For women who serve as the primary wage earners for their families and seek financial assistance to continue their education or receive training.
2. Women in the Military: For women who have or are serving in any branch of the United States Armed Forces and are seeking financial assistance to continue their education or receive training.
